Questions

by UtterlyAlive   Aug 9, 2013

Everyday I'm searching
But never do I find,
The answers to the questions
Tormenting my mind

Why would you do it?
Leaving me alone,
I'm only thirteen,
Not even grown!

I'm always so angry
But I'm not sure at who
Maybe myself, or God
Or maybe even you

And why do I cut?
The answers unclear
I guess it's from the pain
Of not having you here

Starting to wear black,
Is that just from grief?
Or is that my way,
Of finding relief?

And why do I blame myself,
When there's nothing I could do?
No one even told me
What was going on with you

And Am I suppose to live
Like nothing is wrong?
Is six months of mourning
Really too long?

So many pieces
Not put together
I guess I'll have to wonder
Forever and ever

We always search for everything we think we need but we never do find it. I love the use of the word torment too as it shows the reader how much pain you are suffering with. I love the question you used. Why did you do it? It leaves a vague message that leaves a heart breaking and the mind think. But then you say that this person has left you. You are so young so its hard to understand why anyone would leave you at all.

Again I see this a lot. We all blame what we cannot do or see. But we all question why people pass away and it weighs heavy in your heart for eternity sometimes. Just remember they will always be there no matter what. I love the question why do you cut? Usually people do to numb the pain that they bare. So its not unusual for people to find unhealthy ways to cope.

We all have to find ways to grieve. We also find relief in our own ways. Thats why we need good support. God is great to talk to :). You can't truly blame anyone for anything. I think we all do this because its easy. The hard thing is moving on from everything and that takestime. We all mourn at our own pace. My ffriend died eight years ago and I truly havnt mourned for him yet. We always wonder what could have been different. The heart is very ststrong. I love the message and the feeling you portray. 5/5
