Something I Don't Know

by Marky   Aug 10, 2013

Until a few seconds ago this was a blank page,
'till I filled it with words that don't age.
Truth is I take inspiration from you,
I write about words from you.

If inspiration was a light in the dark that consumes all,
then you're shining bright enough to stop my fall.

Once upon a time you'd tell me its forever.
And on your love you'd swear we'd be together.
I guess things don't always work out,
But the look in your eyes casts doubt.

It feels like its within grasping,
your words still leave me gasping.
The knots roll over themselves in my belly,
my heart goes zigzag and my legs are jelly.

It takes three words, four seconds,
to show me your heart beckons.
There wasn't any other way I knew,
When you uttered the words I love you.

But there's more, something I don't know,
I know your face, it haunts wherever I go,
And I know your voice, it echoes in my mind.
But its your touch that I long to find.

^^ did you write this piece ahead of time?!
You must be from the future or you just made me lose notion of time.

    Good piece
