A Hole In The Line

by Marky   Oct 17, 2013

Every step I take I take carefully,
this is new territory for me.
Every day I take it one step closer there,
to the point that it's impossible to bear.

So now I have a hole in the line,
the one to that heart of mine,
the one that's rotten to the core.
No one I know has been there before.

All of a sudden I understand,
everything that we cannot withstand.
I am seconds from disaster now,
how to survive I wanna know.

He says it makes him sad to see,
someone my age with everything to be,
as he sows up the gaping hole,
while the nurse fiddles with the control.

And now I have to explain to them all,
what its like to have to crawl,
just to face another day,
and why my wrist looks that way.
