You Don't Even Know

by Daylight Lucidity   Aug 23, 2013

Hear that? That high pitched shatter?
It's this glass heart of mine
Crashing upon the floor,
Breaking one more time.

What kills me is that
You don't even know.

Can't you see from small, cold, answers
That whatever it was hurt?
I guess not, sadly to say,
And that makes my soul lurch.

What kills me is that
You don't even know.

See past the length of the field
That is my treacherous mind,
Explore the sea that is my heart,
Tell me what you find.

Am I strong enough to stand,
Or am I weak enough to bend?
One more ache, break,
I don't know if I can withstand.

What kills me is that
You don't even know.
