Walk Away [Acrostic]

by Daylight Lucidity   Aug 23, 2013

With those last words I fall away farther into that black hole at the edges of my vision,
Always there but never close enough to take me.
Letting that image of you leaving wash over me and slap some sense into my head.
Kaleidoscopic emotions tumble and leak past lips and yet, you're not there to hear my apology.

Abstruse feelings are fended off and stored away on a shelf until another night,
While my eyes close and ragged breaths come from burning lungs,
Allowing for a sob not only for sadness but for your departure once again,
Yearning for you to come back. As I lay here, collapsed and alone, I know it will take some time.
