Behind The Lens

by CarnivorousCoffin   Oct 1, 2013

It saw through the sky
It saw through the stars
The light that flashed upon many scars
She took a camera
To hide her pain
Nobody could see it
She took pictures of everything
Of the moon at night
And the ghosts in the rain
She held onto it like a safety device
And clung onto it for dear life,
but one day the camera broke
Along broke all her hopes
She looked at the broken lens
And bent down to pick it up
Taking a good look
She shed a tear
And felt her heart break
Piece by piece
Now her life felt incomplete
Without the anchor to hold her down
She knew she'd surely drown

    Good poem!
The only thing I'd like to correct is the typo at the beginning of the second to last line. I believe it was supposed to say "Without".
Other than that, it was really good! Keep writing!
