Only One

Empty stares produce pictures of a dream-like girl,
One that is more angel than human, a pure delight to sore eyes;
Her every step is one that makes the world
Spin round; her laughter paints a variety of colors in a darkened sky.

A smile, no matter how big or small, lights up a room,
A mere glance my way sends my heart into an array of fluttering beats;
Her words bounce off the walls of my mind and bloom
Into ones that I cherish and hold near to me.

She holds a beauty that is more than appearance, but one that is in a soul,
A soul that is so delicate, so precious, that I cannot help but stare
She is the only one, who keeps this heart whole,
And she is the only one who lives in this heart of mine.

    Beautiful. Lot of soft imagery here and I know that this person you portray sees you in the same way.

    James, if it was any other girl besides Kate, Kate would hunt them down and tie them to a tree somewhere. She'd still feed them so they don't die but no.

    There is only one person for each heart and I feel like I know it's about Kate haha. I love the imagery here too. You make it personal to the reader and the girl you love. I love that you make such a dedication. I also like how you say she is an angel. An angel is pure joy and love and a guardian in my eyes so it's perfect for a poem. I love the ending too. As you shows she is the only one that has your heart and that shows true love xx. Every line connects to you well as the reader you gave such great detail to show what true love is. Great write. :)
