Ceiling Fan

by Forever Hers   Nov 13, 2013

A soft light penetrates the otherwise dark room,
Angry lyrics begin to lull me to sleep,
As I look up at my ceiling,
The fan twirling around my anguish.

Chills crawl over my skin
As I begin to sing along with the screams;
I stare at the blades as the lazily spin,
Their ice white color haunting.

My lip trembles as I think of a jealous pain,
A tear leaks out of a glittering blue eye,
My heart silently breaking
As I stare at my ceiling fan;

Stories to be told whisk around my room,
Ones I whispered to my walls,
And hiss at me through the now
Rotating air.
