Comfort In Normality

by Jack H Bartlett   Nov 14, 2013

Your mask, it's heavy.
It satisfies the herd
Of flocking miseries,
But drains the latency
That's buried in your gut.

Everyone sees it, but it's well hidden.
You daren't confront it,
Because what person challenges
The continuous monotony
Of their comforting normality?
