Life Passes By

The sadness of self-destruction
that peaks like sand
in the hour glass falling
timed to the last grain
a visible stream ended
as life passes by
with nary a backward glance
at the fallen.

    I guess the message here is that life is passing us by very fast and humans are adding to it by causing much destruction. We hardly take the time to appreciate what is in front of us.
