Snake I Have Become

by Dominique Lewis   Feb 18, 2014

Freezing cold Washington state,
The Evergreen place,
The love we once had was great,
But now where my heart was is an empty space.

Pain and depression is what you caused,
Thanks to you I am the bad guy at school,
I looked at your angered face and I paused,
Now you have made me lose my cool.

My voice starts to raise,
Eyes like daggers look at you,
Everyone knows that you pushed me too far just by a quick gaze,
Looking into your eyes and my anger grew.

You have pissed me off for the last time,
No more listening to you asking "Be mine?"
You know harassing is a crime?
If you can't tell I am giving you a sign.

Leave me alone or I will become a venomous snake,
Cruel words will escape my mouth,
This is what you have done...you finally made me break,
I am more than willing to kick your ass all the way too the south.

There is a lot of sadness here but I can tell you wrote out your feelings. I can tell this person has been hurt by a person they thought they loved. The anger kept building up inside and by the end you unleash it. I likedthe mmetaphor of the snake because people with anger become deadly and strike at any moment. Good write because I can tell you wrote your feelings out
