Heavely Father

by Karrington   Feb 26, 2014

Heavenly Father
I am filled with sin
Though I feel your love and comfort
From my spirit within
Shamed by my actions
I gave into the darkness
I ask for another chance
To finally depart this
Break from my ways
That I let take me under
To finally see the rainbow
And come out From under
I come on my knees
To let me back in
To wrap me in your spirit
And your love once again
Forgive me,
To everything I did
that has broken your heart
I want to live right by you
By blessing me with a new start
Love me again, Dear Lord
As I know you do
I come to make it right
And live only for you

I'm not religious but I do like this poem. Nicely written. Keep up the good work
