I knew you were like the rest

by PorcelainMoon   Mar 13, 2014

She's immersed in the intricacies of the sky,
I'm only interested in the shine in her eyes.
You never seem to understand
With every song
Every melody with every breath of air I ingest I detest
The deception and your attachment prevention
Always knew you were an actress
Cut open your chest to be the best
Insert a silicone breast
I knew you were like the rest

I don't have much to say in my defense
The jealousy was eminence
My love was intense
Your fear was a fence;
I couldn't climb...

Try to write a book about your life
I'm happy you didn't mention my Name
I'm happy you don't feel shame
For my tears fall like the rain
That night you chose another
You chose lust for a lover...

I would have made you my queen
But a man can only dream.

    Hmm, nice beginning, nice ending.

I have some nit picks in the middle section. I'm trying to think if it were the rhymes that got to me. Instead of pulling me in, they were pushing me to not continue reading but the ending tie it down. Sad piece.

Choosing lust for a lover.. is always sad. The title is fitting to the content. Good piece.
