Weeping Willow Tree

by Leanne Henry   Apr 7, 2014

The land crumbled beneath me
Like your love slid through my palms
The lines on your face were like craegs engraved
on the rocks like charms
While your smile shredded the seas and the sand

Your beauty was unnoticed the first time
Though the second time it surpassed...
Surpassed all my expectations
Forever that shall last
Un -kept, un-wept
Locked in the reservoir of the memoirs of my mind

As the hilltops slowly glided and floated in to the sea
As the flowers slowly faded with each dying sunset
I can still but taste the heavenly breeze
That sweeps through the weeping willow trees

Wise, white horses ran with the freedom
Of the wondrous crashing waves
That scrolled and scathed along the shore
Of everlasting time and love
Of beauty evermore

Stay with me! Oh gracious one
Let the memories entwine in our minds
Let us bath in these tantalising scenes
Before they vacate our mind

Impossible
Impossible
Impossible...

That could never be!

I have seen, you know!
I have been you now!
In my mind you will always be...
