To Whom I Placed Faith

by Smaccams   Apr 24, 2014

Despite countless promises of a future to hold and cherish within my shaken hands,
I doubt that the tomorrow will arrive sooner than the never.

If I can't unravel my inmost ways whilst painfully leaking out the descriptions of these indescribable feelings,
And after receive a single form of temporary closure;
Then it's improbable that I would ever come across a permanent care from you.

I had faith that even my attempts of expressing would mean more than selfish rantings to you,
And that you would leave the tables as they are -
But I guess repetitive turning excites you more than the possible relief of its fixation.

Forbid yourself from believing that complete obscurity would be more of a paradise,
Than the sunny days that we encounter filled with the peppy songs of the dear birds.

I do not attempt to place my exhaustive reliance on you,
As it is only right to bear the weights of each own separate,
But my shoulders have grown weary and they start to chip.

The sole fortune I have yet to confront appears to be imminently desperate,
No different to the desperation seeping into me now.

If you would like to see a truthful smile;
You will have to deliver it.
