Landslide

by shadow   May 13, 2014

Falling apart on this fragile ground
Your words crawl through my skin
Crumbling down like a landslide
With sentences that never begin

My heart aches for something more
As I hold out my hand for you to take
But you use this moment to rip it apart
As if destruction is all you can make

Forever bound to the loneliness in me
Such a cold, hard and empty place
No one comes to tell me it'll be okay
Only to stop and spit it back in my face

I'm just a casualty of my own fears
A casualty of the circumstance I'm in
Crumbling down like a landslide
Crumbling everything I hold within
