Winter

by Colette   May 29, 2014

A final gush of frosty air
sweeps you away into the night.
I feel you leave
as warmth creeps up on me.
A deceiving day of spring
brings my hopes up.

I am tricked by his sunshine
for you are back the next day.
Beckoning me to come outside,
bundled in my down coat,
to enjoy your icy wind.
And I do.
