With Wild Abandon

Bittersweetly,
the hopes and skeletons
of my closeted love
frighten me in my
sleepless dreams:

Suffocating
was my euphoria,
shackled to
your beautiful
shoulder-blades;

Tearing
half of my soul
with you alongside
flesh and chains
when you left

Shivering;
with your warmth fading,
my tunnel vision blurs --
how could I again dare
to stare into the sun?

Feverish,
due to promises
decaying,
as your final
kiss festered

Ravaged
is my soul and body,
with my life leaking
through the echoes
of you, my wings:

Endless
is the hunger aching,
making me chase you
through every hell
with wild abandon
