Discarded

Born broken and discarded
Written off into the tides
A boy becomes a man
In his husk the boy still hides

He searches for an answer
for why everything is so wrong
to change the world he sees
he tries everything to remain strong

Her love was like a perfect house
neat trimmed and everythings clean
Her soul like a grandest library
shimmering with knowledge to be seen

for a decade he felt safe from reality
capable of overcoming his thoughts
in her adoring embrace he found peace
within her world he became hopelessly caught

So settling he was in that time
capable of rolling within the tides
Complacency took his heart in surprise
unwillingness to understand both the sides

He fell in love and it made him blind
She left and disappeared in fear of his heart
she took from him the feeling of safety
from his place of worship she chose to depart

Born once again broken and discarded
tossed aside into the open tides
a man is lost like the child before
and empty husk where heart use to hide
