Skies of Tomorrow

by Kyle   Jul 19, 2014

The earth could rotate around the sun 1,000 more times but I'll still live for you.

Connected to you, I cannot let this go.

As mountains rise to the stars, breaching the depths of space, they will crumble back to earth, returning to their roots.

The internal clock of the universe will burn away, yet the love I hold will stay unfeigned.

Your pulse holds me to the ground like luscious gravity, your wisdom burns in my mind like fireflies.

Guiding me, teaching me, showing me the errors of my ways.

I allow the forces of wind to carry my feelings across oceans, through forests, over mountains, through the cities and into the hearts of humanity.

Let the world feel what I feel, let mankind see the truth behind love.

As the last of the stars fade behind the blue in the sky, our lives will intertwine, mesh together, and create something organic.

And if the skies of tomorrow fall in on us, may the cosmos of yesterday consume the pieces left behind.
