Encounter from the past

by lillie   Jul 26, 2014

There is an empty path filled with cobwebs along the way.

This path is dark, not lit with a light, you pass by it every day.

It is a road paved inside this mind of mine.

Your memory, like a ghost flows through it in a straight line.

But walking down memory lane is no piece of cake.

You never got what you wanted, my heart you did take.

Playing with it like it was some sort of silly putty in your hand.

Molding it, squeezing it, until it fell apart into tiny grains of sand.

That path you took, the dark one has no recollection of you in my life.

You took my heart put it on a board and gently sliced it with a knife.

Decieving, your lies could take you so far, they will all know the truth

Everyone knows the liar that you are, stripping my heart from its youth.

We were together for some time, but that time has now come to an end.

I cant say we are strangers, aquaintances, I dont even consider you as a friend.

Because of you I dont want to find love ever again.

Set free from your pain, your controlling mind, I am free from your chain.
