Saved by your Light ( Saffie's Challenge A)

by Everlasting   Oct 2, 2014

Morning sunrise,

You are like cupid,
rather more like a volcano
dancing in the sky
erupting hues of reds
and yellows
to captivate my eyes.
Those mixtures of tinctures
reflected upon tides,
within the ichorous textures
that rise and fall
directly to my heart.
You ebb me and lure me
into an aisle of delight.
With your rays,
don't you see?
you escort me into paradise

to walk in waves,
then feel alive...

though I sank, almost drowned,
in the ocean's arms,
I was saved by a safeguard
guided by your light.

Oh Morning sunrise,

your hues of reds and yellows,
reflected upon tides,
are like an aisle of delight,
where I chose to walk.
Where I left the shores,
enlightened by your light,
Just to swim and feel alive.

I was saved by your guiding light.
