I, Witch

by cassie hughes   Oct 29, 2014

Whisper the wind and darken the sky
Tonight by the light of the moon
I will fly.
There's a chill in the air and a fell mist descends,
How I long for the freedom that
All Saints Night lends.
In the shadows I linger, biding my time
until daylight has gone, then
on broomstick will climb.
Soaring on high, wind whipping my hair,
At home with the spirits and gods
in the air.
A wild pagan witch, elemental and free.
With untrammelled soul, unconfined.
Blessed be.

I didn't get the title I'm sorry Cassie, I love the scene it's too beautiful by half and no I'm not a witch nor anything related to that I'm just a believer of God but the imagery and the cute upbeat emotions I got from this poem was special really beautiful and you mentioned religion the way it's celebrated and the feelings that come with that religion but um I loved the last line I used to say that I don't know why but I used to say "blessed be" when I left now I say "godbless" which I guess is the same but anyways I loved this poem have a nice day and "blessed be" 5/5

Hmm, a witch who doesn't like cats. :3

Really accentuates an intense message in insignificant acts. Love it. :)
