Travelling Somewhere West

by Baby Rainbow   Jan 3, 2015

Kicking up the leaves from the frosty ground,
I take my head for a walk along these
cobbled streets, in the bitter winter air.

I ponder over the journey I have made,
looking back to where I started from
and to where I am heading for.

With the company of the moon and the stars,
I take a walk through history -
gaining the conclusion that my life needs to change,
for I want to be the best that I can ever be.

I come to the crossroads and pray for a sign,
I need guidance for which direction to follow.

As I look up to the enchanting sky,
I witness my first shooting star
travelling somewhere west.

Although I only caught a glance
before it vanished from my sight,
I knew then what I wanted,
and where I wanted to be...

I want to be like that shooting star,
and travel somewhere west,
finally being free,
finally finding me.

    Saffie :)))

I really really like this write :)) it made me smile thinking of those moments in our lives when we have known that change is needed for a while but we can pin point a very specific moment in time when we make the choice to change it for the better.

Love this type of write from you :)
