Puzzle of Love:

by Scott Cole   Feb 5, 2015

Love is a puzzle,
With the pieces jumbled.
They're all scattered about,
And hard to figure out.

Each piece is similar
In size and in color,
Making them all hard
To tell from the other.

Each has it's place
Each piece indeed,
So follow your heart
Not what you see.

Examine all the pieces
As you lay them down,
Looking for that one
That won't bring forth a frown.

You start on the outside
Working your way in,
Searching for those clues
That are hidden within.

With each next piece
It eliminates another,
Getting you even closer
To your one true lover.

As piece after piece
Start taking up space,
The picture gets clearer
So your heart starts to race.

The framework is done
Everythings in place,
Setting the stage
For your special embrace.

Now all that remains
Is that final last part,
That missing little piece
That completes your heart.

You pick up that piece
And put it in place,
That hole in your heart
That's taking up space.

When all of the pieces
Fit like a glove,
You just solved the puzzle
The Puzzle of Love.
