Broken trust is just failed expectations

What should you do?
when you can't stop thinking
of that one to love...
a fit like a glove..
swam through hell but flies like a dove.

enough is never enough,
white lines faded upon fair skin..
a smile on the outside, a tear shed within..
beauty, not for me,
born into agony
withered like a dead flower
a rose of many thorns..
red falls like a rain shower.

tried to do everything, everything I could to ease your pain
was it ever worth anything..? anything to you...

light a match, inhale the dust,
burning out with fear & failure.
destroy what you must.

faith, is blindfolded.
there is no such thing as trust--
broken expectations, for lack of a better word..
quite unjust.
