The Offering

by Owner of an Untamed Heart   Mar 23, 2015

There wasn't even a fight
Your knees shouldn't touch the ground,
Your voice shouldn't make a sound,
I'm already bound to your music
Like a thief in the night
Something sacred had been stolen,
Something I thought was already broken,
But somehow you've brought it back to life

Why don't you just take me ?
Take me away from my own misery...
Take me away from my foolish dreams...
Give me all you have to offer,
And then take what you deserve

The rules aren't complicated
The game may not be fresh,
But I actually enjoy my life complex,
It shows I'm strong enough to be weak
Just like a saint
There has been hope restored,
I've found what I've been searching for,
And this time, I won't let it escape

Why don't you just take me ?
Take me away from the hurt inside...
Take me as far as the stars in the sky...
Give me all you have to offer
And then take what you deserve

I need your energy all around me,
I need the chemicals to drown me,
I had lost faith but then you found me,
And as long as you surround me,
I'm all yours

So go ahead and just take me
Take me away from the hurt inside...
Take me as far as mt foolish dreams...
Give me all you have to offer,
And then take what you deserve,

I need you to take me
Take me away from my own misery,
Take me as far as the stars in the sky,
I want all that you can offer
So you can take what you deserve
