My Folly

Laughter and joy... those were the days we must reminisce
All of that changed with just one simple kiss
I keep saying I'm sorry... demolishing my fears
so i keep quite... and dried away my tears...

"I trusted you..." that's what you always say
So peace ended and we fought day after day
A never ending fight that no one will ever win
So laws were broken and we've committed sins

You started denying that you ever loved me
Acting like you're the one confused and couldn't see
While I lay there helpless and trying to defend
You attacked... and a death letter was sent

So they found me with my face down in the pillow
And you didn't care... you stayed outside beneath that willow
That was once our sacred place to stay and be alone
Its the place where we met and our feelings were shone

I took a deep breath... my heart pounding faster
Saying I'm sorry and what I did was a disaster
And I saw you laying down... and started to cry
So I guess this means... our final goodbye
