Dog Agility (by a hanger on - em, sorry - supporter!)

by Zabadak   May 26, 2015

Agility days are cold and wet
And rarely ever sunny,
We stand around for hours on end,
It really isn't funny!

Waterproof trousers, jacket and fleece,
The hood pulled over my head,
Oh my God, why am I here,
Instead of staying in bed?

I spend a lot at these events,
On what I hear you say,
On food of course, at the burger van,
Keeps me going all day!

Sausage and egg in a roll on arrival,
and Saffie brings treats for eleven,
A burger for lunch ensures survival,
'Cos I'm stuck here all day until seven!

But wait a minute it's not that bad,
'Cos the KoF folks are fun,
And it really is a privilege to watch,
As their dogs jump, weave and run!

    Woohooo!

So glad you posted this, it is so funny!

You still have a great talent for the rhythm of a poem and making it flow so smoothly, I am jealous!

    Keep writing more.
