Different Kinds of Love

by Soulful Ensemble   Jun 8, 2015

How should I love you?
With a quiet moment, in a lonesome room?
Should I love you with a flower, too?
There are so many kinds of love, but only one that fits you,
So let me know which one is you.

I could love you blind, without superficial facets,
Or I could love you mute, with no words but actions.
And if you like I could even love you deaf,
So you could read these words and feel my love instead.

I could love you as I do now,
With simple words and whispers
And soft kisses in the night.
I could love you like you do me,
With silence and emotion
And the respect of understanding.

But no matter which way I love--
I can only promise passion.
And if you love me too
Then let me know through action.

There are so many ways to love
And so many different kinds of love.
But you must let me know--
How should I love you?
