Humans

by Jay Colon   Jul 1, 2015

I don't understand us humans.
Why are we programmed this way.
We can be with someone for year's.
We can be deeply in love. Even have a family.
We can get into an argument.
Then in seconds.
Feelings has already changed.
Lovers become enemies. Focusing on the negative. We yell at each other.
Trying to get our point Through.
Neither one is hearing.
We put it in our own hands
Letting go of all the love exchanged
All the time spent by saying goodbye
Without thinking
Who are we to decide if it's a big deal or not?
Who's hurting more?
Is it you or me?
Why not focus on how much we love each other?
We worked so hard
We put so much energy and time
Why do we let it all go?
If to God everything is equal
We all hurt the same
Bleed the same
He doesn't even judge us
Love is love
Man and man
Woman and woman
Man and woman
We're born to love one another
He doesn't put someone in your life for no reason
Especially for couples in love
They're meant to be
It's just up to us humans
We need to Ignore the temptations
Ignore the negative energy
Believe and know that love between two people is power
Power of faith
Power of trust
Power of true love
Most of all
The power of God
So it confuses me
Why are we programmed this way?
We can be with someone for year's
We can be deeply in love
Even have a family
We get into an argument
Then in seconds
We're focusing on the negativity
We're pointing fingers
Putting all the pro's and con's on a scale
Why if to God everything is equal?
