Inferno

Dark clouds slumber overhead,
as anxious souls await signs of life among the dead.

Windows crash and shatter,
as the fire's temper boils -
fiercely burning a lifetime of memories into the night.

A house of life set ablaze -
a home of love no more,
as heartbeats cease
and tears of grief are shed onto the burned out floor.
