Another Left Behind:

by Scott Cole   Jul 30, 2015

I'm gazing through the daylight
Just a step of morning slumber,
For she never moves a muscle
But she sits there if to wonder.

So don't you fool yourself
For I'm leaving you behind,
Yet your always on my heels
For I see your trailing signs.

Yes I've had enough of you
You've traveled in my shoes,
Now I'm going barefooted
So what will you ever do.

For I have lead the way
With every single track,
And you have strolled along
Behind my aching back.

What we once had was fun
Our relationship in the sun,
With ten toes in the sand
Unless we're taking a run.

I never will forget you
All our memories and such,
Especially all those lost ones
That are buried beneath the dirt.
