There once was a star in my sky
That burned brightest in the night
When I'd get lost at sea
He was always my guiding light

I'd look up to the heavens for him
In hopes he would come down
For I've come to rely on him
For in his light I am found

Though thousands of leagues away
A distance unbeknownst to me
My heart yearns for a time
When from love we were free

For now in vain I pen my tale
Hoping to recover a time
When ambition coursed in my blood
