It's a thing in your heart; it's a thing that you keep
It's a thing full of laughter, and can make you weep

It's a thing sometimes intricate, it leaves you confused
You'll just want to give in, feeling less enthused

A part of the process, may not seem fair
All have endured it, so do not despair

This thing requires effort, you will feel dismay
This thing will succeed, when both meet halfway

But this thing is worth, the heartache, the pain

This feeling so intoxicating, it possesses your mind
It sure feels like heaven, if not then cloud nine

This thing so exciting, it completes your soul
To share this with someone, that deems your life whole

This thing leaves you feeling, confident and strong
You'll start your day smiling, as if nothing will go wrong

All that's around you, will notice your glow
You've worked hard to get there, so give them a show

It's a thing that is given, from the man up above
