You Smiles Overshadow the Sun

by VP Cruz   Aug 28, 2015

I cherish the midnights; we'd spend at the beach
Our heights of passion, we've easily reached

To just lay in your arms, and I'm fast asleep
Each others love, we've fallen deep

I remember the subway, my aching feet
Was full, uncomfortable, gave me your seat

Paused for a moment, looked into your eyes
It possessed compassion, immediately realized

Touched my heart, the way no one could
A car full of strangers, but out you stood

Danced under the moonlight, had so much fun
Got carried away, then realized its dawn

Unbelievably fascinating, as I look back into the night
Happened so quickly, everything was so right

It is with you I belong, that I have arrived
It has long been since, I felt so alive

Feels amazing, simply to be impetuous
So this is how, it feels to be spontaneous

Romantic dinners, red wine at night
The sound of your voice, and candlelight

Full moon, so enchanting, projects an energy
Renders me helpless, at your bidding, entirely

Ceiling of stars, the evening air
If time were to end, I wouldn't even care

Walks in the park, getting caught in the rain
So long as we're together, I can't complain

Down at the beach, we'd walk hand in hand
The feel of our feet, barefoot in the sand

The day so bright, we've been vested upon
But your smiles always, overshadow the sun
