Free

by Emily Wacker   Sep 21, 2015

Trapped down with gravity am I,
Though you are soaring free as a bird,
You never feel of heartbreak,
All I do is ache,
You can give a warm embrace,
Anything I touch turns to rubble,
Everyone you meet falls in love with you,
Everyone I greet won't look me in the eye,
Your eyes are of ocean,
My tears are of pain,
You can sing any song,
Though I am strong,
I can put down these words on the paper,
But you can't take these feelings out of my heart,
Seeing pain,
Is different than having pain,
I don't see what you gain from tearing me down,
I will see the clear blue skies,
You will see the rain,
You will know what gray skies are,
I am the light at the end of the tunnel,
And I won't wait to shine,
To shine brighter than a million stars.
