The Magic Orrery

by Larry Chamberlin   Oct 18, 2015

Dark
emptiness
envelopes all
despite galaxian
glow on far horizon,
globes careen past me,
some frigid ice-white
far on the outskirts,
ringed gas giant,
red - yellow
hung
closer-in
haps encircled
by dusty grey orbs,
only one bluesy hazy
ornament hovering soft
in the Midgard field,
home of mortals
in my dream
escape;
here
ambered
seeming still
though centered
and the focal point
I am a radiant fireball,
create brilliant light
and intense heat
from joining
simplest
of all
particles,
warming all
these whirling
bubble - spheres,
enticing new growth
in liquid seas and
bringing a final
destruction
of all life
anon.

What a wonderful write Larry - your use of language here is wonderful, and needless to say, the layout is a joy to behold.
    All the very best,
