Missing You

by Soulful Ensemble   Dec 22, 2015

I'm missing your hands, your eyes, your smile
Thoughts of you flood my heart for awhile.
I miss your face because its the door to heaven,
And that sweet voice saying, "see you at seven".

I'm missing your warmth, as we snuggle closely
And those sweet long kisses I need mostly.
I miss the way you look at me with deep affection
And the kisses you give me are just perfection.

I miss walking with you, holding your hand
Kissing your cheek any chance I can.
I count the hours until our next meeting
With the same urge in my head repeating.

I'm missing your loving words every minute
Even when I open my mouth and put my foot in it.
I miss touching, rubbing, caressing
Giving you all I have and not leaving you guessing.

I wanna say that word that takes so long to feel
But I hold back, to make sure that its real.
When I tell you I love you, it will be forever
And I hope whatever the weather we are always together.

I gave you my heart over the last week, wholly
Not holding back, though we're taking it slowly.
I'm asking for your love and tender affection
Because in such a short time we have made a connection.

I sit with my thoughts, spinning inside me
After snuggling with you and holding you tightly.
In the back of my car we just kissed and held
And with every muscle that one word I withheld.

I can't wait much longer, darling
Deep inside me the spark is starting.
And though I don't want to scare you with phrases
Feelings are guiding my heart to nice places.

Oh, I wish for you to come with me
To a place where our hearts are free.
So I could tell you forever I love you
And you'd whisper it back if you knew.

Now I know, though its not been long
That kissing you is like hearing a song.
And the words of Shakespeare really are true:
"If I should think of love, I'd think of you."

But for now I'll miss you
Until the next time I kiss you
And your eyes consume me
Like we are one, truly.
