A Final Kiss

by Soulful Ensemble   Jan 12, 2016

When I kiss you, you take away each day's ever dying sorrow
I'm forever present, never thinking of tomorrow.
When I kiss you, as the sun shines, or in the rain
I know that life will never be the same again.
When I kiss you, I feel the sparks starting up my soul
The skies are blue and the moon is whole.
When I kiss you, your lips cling to mine in total bliss
Reawakening my heart with your loving kiss.
When I kiss you, my love feels a fever, longing for more
And the warmth that surrounds me from the one I adore.
When I kiss you, I feel frantic, with passionate fervor
Wanting to please you with every endeavor.
When I kiss you, I see the special gaze from your eyes
Pulling me deeply in love, and I don't wonder why.
When I kiss you, I see the past and future combined
With the trace of your face forever burned in my mind.
And when we kiss, my heart will never be amiss
And I'll touch your lips as if it was the final kiss.

A lovely poem that is well written and has a nice rhyme structure which lends to the natural and easy flow of this piece.
When we love somebody so much, a kiss really can be a wonderful thing, can't it?
    All the very best,

Thanks Ben. Yes, especially after a long time without kissing somebody that means everything to you.
