How it went down

by Yakari Gabriel   Mar 13, 2016

Then I got tired of begging
people to love me,
I got tired of being
the first to check in
and the last one to leave.
So I turned it around
instead of waiting for
someone to call,
I started to write-
to photograph myself
in great light,
read good books
danced alone in my room
planned my life
I got so busy
next thing I knew
people were using words
like cocky and confident
to describe me

No matter what we do people will find something wrong with us. We have to please ourselves first and foremost. You said it so well. Take care

    Hello Yakari

Funny, isn't it? When we are shy and retiring, we are criticised. When we do something about that and display confidence and a more bullish attitude, we are criticised for being too "cocky" and arrogant.
"I started to write - to photograph myself in great light"

    Great line.

    All the very best
