Where do men learn to hate us

by Yakari Gabriel   Mar 18, 2016

I don't think any woman raises her
sons to be vile to women,
so where does it start?
when do the sweet little boys we fed
from our chest start hating us like that?

where do the little boys we nurtured
and cradle to sleep learn to hate the stretch marks we got by carrying them?
I think of my friends who have beautiful boys,
I think of the way their mothers love them..
will they grow up to hate us too?

I think of the way guys out here
degrade girls 24/7 online and my
stomach turns into a knot.
What did we ever do to you?

I think of the women who go on dates
and never make it home alive again
you come for everything that is ours,
our skin, our genitals,
our beauty or lack their off.
you pick us apart, leave us in pieces

and where did you learn this?
who told you it was okay?
when did you realize u could beat us
down constantly and not be held accountable?
when do we stop being your mothers, sisters,
and girlfriends and become your one night stands,
spare tires, booty calls and side chicks

I liked this, definitely gives you a lot to think about and why do our beautiful sweet little boys turn into these awful men? Thankfully not all of boys turn out this way. There's a lot of really wonderful men who still hold on to the caring nurturing their mom's taught them.

The emotion in this is effortless which shows it comes from the heart.
There are a few errors.. 'our beauty or lack their off' i feel should be 'there of' and you have abbreviated 'u' in the last stanza on the 3rd line where it is 'you' everywhere else.
