Ugly duck

by Yakari Gabriel   Mar 22, 2016

You look at me
like I have something
to offer,

and I don't.

at ten, my mother
called a lady to come
relax my hair
I have never worn
a crop top in my life
frankly, I got stretch marks
before I got my period
and the only
thing I know
about beauty is that
by the standards,

I have none of it.

I love this! As no beauty queen myself it took years for me to come into my own and really feel comfortable in my own skin. You are beautiful, don't ever forget that! Take care-Brenda
