Curtain

by Allie   May 23, 2016

Pull the curtain shut, close your eyes and wipe your memory clean. Everything you just seen is a figment of your imagination. You didn't see me break, you didn't hear me scream. You didn't see this girl that is pretending everything is perfect, suddenly fall to the ground. Pull the curtain shut so you don't let all of her secrets out that she hides so well, all the pain behind her dull eyes. You weren't supposed to see her break, you weren't suppose to hear her screams. You should of kept the curtain shut. Now her secrets are out, her pain that she was so good at hiding is showing. You've seen the real her. It's hard for you to swallow, it's hard for you to forget. You thought she perfect, you thought she was just a normal girl. Now you've realized you were so wrong. Will you keep fighting for her, will you keep holding her? Or will you just shut the curtain and pretend like this never happened? Will you keep your lips sealed and go on like everything is simply perfect? Or will you open your curtain for her to see all your flaws, all the secrets that you hide? Will even let her get a glimpse of what's on the otherside? Will you just go on and keep everything locked away and go on loving someone that is just like you in every single way?
