Father

by Allie   Jun 14, 2016

You think you can fix all your mistakes through the years by controlling every aspect of my life, trying to tell me how to raise my daughter, what I should be doing with myself. It's to late for you to try and step to be a father. You burned that bridge a long time ago. You left us, you screwed our mother over so many times. Your promises mean nothing now, your words are pointless. How dare you say you raised us! How dare you try and take credit for how we turned out. I raised my brothers. Our mother worked 3 jobs to support us, while you were out screwing around. Coming home drunk, calling your kids names, saying we were a mistake. You never cared about us, you never even tried to be a father. It's to late to try and act like it now. The damage is done, that bridge is gone. I'll never forgive you for what you've done. But I promise my daughter will get all of my love, I'll never leave her feeling alone or worthless. She'll always have me but never in the way you had us.

All that happens, tend towards win. Forgiveness bargains for safety.
