If only

by leenie   Nov 12, 2016

If only I was a dreamer
Then everything would be so true
If only I was a maker
Then I could learn how to sew

If only I was a cook
Then everything would taste good
If only I could look
Then no one will puke

If only I did my best
Then no one would attest
If only I answered my test
Then I could rest

I was once a dreamer
But so fast was lost
Hard to keep up
Stay still inside

So imagine widely
For you to be cool
Use all of the possibilities
For you not to be a fool

I'm in love with that simple line "If Only" and you made me more in love with that... This piece of yours really rocks...

    Hi and welcome to P&Qs.
I think this is a very thought provoking first piece by you and don't understand the low vote because there's a lot to think about here. The last stanza was my favourite.
