Loving You

by Lyssi Lori   Nov 22, 2016

If loving you was easy, everybody would--
Lovin' you is a challenge that no one stood.
Your harsh tongue lashed many away,
Your wondering spirit led others astray.
Living in the moment, blending with the crowd,
Leaving your cares behind, living on a cloud.
Music blaring louder than your thoughts. You're numb.
Intoxicated kisses, lyrical lies, heartstrings are strummed.
The night is your mistress, you get your highs,
But when the moon goes down your power dies.
Shake off the night and fall back into place.
Maybe someday you'll find the thing that you chase.
