The Little MerMeow

Zeena was not an ordinary cat
imagine that!
a cat who loved water
and loved to splish, splash, splat!

She loved to paw her water dish
loved to eat shrimp snacks
flavoured like fish!
imagine that!
Zeena was not an ordinary cat!

Oh she adored the toilet bowl
sometimes she would fall right in
loved to drink the water that came from within
this cat often had dreams she could swim.

Zeena also enjoyed taking a bath
she could do many things, taking a dip
she could take a pee, play with her toys
and the running water, quenched her thirst
with a sip!

One afternoon with her owners gone
she jumped right into the tub
magic that sparkled like algae and pearls
swallowed her down the drain like grub!

She tried to back up, with fear in her eyes
but the oceans grip was too strong for her nail
at last she was in the oceans tide
and noticed that the magic had granted her
a mermaids tail!!!

a little scared, but a little excited
to explore this new world under air
she let out a little mermeow calling
that brought mermaids to her side
from everywhere!

They looked like her owners
which made her feel safe
except that they had fish tails
that she was able to catch and chase!

The mermaids said, "Come and explore,
the shells, the ships, sea life and shores".
the little mermeow played hide-and-seek
she swam so far she fell fast asleep.

she is a little mermeow
and a delightful dream-filled cat
who suddenly finds herself awake
