Reflection on the wind..

by brin macnamara   Jul 9, 2004

Never trust the gusting wind,
ignore the blustering,gusting wind.
For he'll take your heart and leave you with only tears.
He'll drop your heart elsewhere and
you'll never find it again.

never,still look at the sun.
He'll make you squint and he'll make
you blind.
never again to see the colours of an
autumn day.
Or the ripples on a lake caused by a
lovers heart cast within.

Do not venture out in winters icy frost.
Because he'll crack your bones and make brittle your soul.
He'll cause you hardness of heart
and callousness of spirit.

Rather:
Love the rain.
Tears of god
Making one grow and cleansing sin
Purifying life as the droplets fall.

Reverence the snow.
Virgin white
Falling from heaven on good hearts
and sad souls.
Covering lost and wounded spirits in a warm protective blanket.
An igloo, a shelter keeping out the
gusting blustering north wind.
Safe.
Until the sun comes and destroys
again.
