The Bird

by trudy   Feb 17, 2017

I found it really hard dealing with the burns in my heart.
She finds it weird that she's breathing.

I don't know how i'm going to deal with this feeling, with this pain.

Wil she survive?
Should she move on ?

She experience it as torture.
How can a bird be on fire and still be alive.

Would the bird fly or would it choose to

Dug its grave and leave?

Trudy, welcome! A sad write with a lot of hope. I too hope the bird takes flight and both of you heal. I noticed a typo, will only has one l. Also didn't know if you meant "dig" vs dug at the end?. Well done-

Hey Brenda, Thank you so much. You're really warmth-full.
I meant dug, Im from holland so sometimes I mix it up. Thank you. I think I like both dug and dig.
      Thanks xx

    Welcome to the site, Trudy.

A sad poem indeed but one tinged with a little hope, perhaps. "Would the bird fly..." - let's hope so.

    Take care and keep writing,

    Ben
